Invercargill Brewery

Brewery Orientation

Invercargill Brewery is doing its bit to welcome new-comers to the city.

Beer+Beats is new comer to SIT’s O-week calender – where students can get a taste of the city’s best beers and meet brewery stuff to the sound of music, with a line-up of DJs and musicians playing from 4pm to 7pm on Wednesday, February 17.

Free beer, music and food – space is limited so first come, first served, and IDs are a must.

For anyone who can’t make it on the day we’re offering free tastings of the brewery’s on tap range to all those who present a current student ID during the month of February.

While flavoursome boutique brews are not for everyone, brewer Steve Nally has been at pains to ensure they are accessible to everyone.

“Just because you’re on a budget doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy good beer. While boutique beer is priced accordingly – using fill-your-own options from the brewerty make a flagon comparable with a six-pack of mainstream beer.”

Drinking locally, and reusing riggers isn’t just affordable financially – its also environmentally sustainable – which is just as important.
